Nový Svět and Hradčany full of legends

The royal city of Hradčany and the adjacent Nový svět (New World) are connected with many legends and real people who lived in this magical corner of Prague.

During this walk we will talk about the ancient history of the royal town of Hradčany, about the people who lived in the Nový svět, but also about how people live in the Premonstratensian monastery.

We will start at Pohořelec at the sculpture of astronomers Johann Kepler and Tycho Brahe, then continue through the Strahov Monastery and around Loreta through Nový Svět (the so-called Montmartre of Prague) to Hradčanské náměstí (Hradčany Square).

If you are interested in hearing the legends of the Černín Palace, the Loreto bells, Tycho Brahe's nose or how the gas lamps were lit, visit Hradčany with us.
